Community Car Scheme Training - Aim and Objectives

The general aim of this course is to help drivers provide a safe transport service.

The specific objectives of the course are:

To ensure Drivers understand their own and the Car Scheme Operator's general legal responsibilities
To ensure Drivers understand the health and safety issues that may arise in the course of their work in a Community Car Scheme.
To enable each Driver to review his or her own driving skills and develop a personal driving improvement plan.
To ensure Drivers can give help to passengers in a way that is safe and appropriate to their needs.
To ensure Drivers are aware of safer and appropriate ways of dealing with non-routine situations.
